Mediterranean garden with a Provençal touch
Description
The landscaping project was developed in collaboration with Simone Trabucco, Giardini da Cento e Lode, with a focus on harmonizing the villa’s outdoor spaces while ensuring a seamless flow between interiors and exteriors.
The clients envisioned a landscape that would reflect a quintessentially Mediterranean style with a Provençal touch, enhancing the spacious sea-view terraces that envelop the villa. The design prioritized inviting communal areas, the modernization of the existing pool and barbecue zone, and the addition of a fruit orchard, further enriching the garden’s character and functionality.
To maintain a cohesive and authentic Mediterranean aesthetic, the planting scheme centered around aromatic, climate-adapted species, including cascading rosemary, lemon arches, and olive trees, chosen for their resilience and natural beauty.
The paving and terrace materials were carefully selected to reinforce continuity between the villa’s interiors and exteriors, using the same natural stone found inside the home. For the pool area, Lecce stone was chosen for its timeless elegance and practical benefits, as it remains cool under the sun, ensuring comfort even in the warmest months.
Through meticulous planning and attention to detail, the result is a sophisticated, inviting, and low-maintenance garden, perfectly tailored to enhance both the livability and aesthetic appeal of the villa.
